Amongst many personal feats and goals, I set myself 3 specific targets this year:
1. Run a 10k trail run. 🏃🏽
I’d gotten into a good habit of doing a 5k here and there, not particularly fast but through hurdles and determination, I was happy with the fact I could go out through almost any weather, even whilst on holiday, to run. Setting a target of double that and completing it in Windsor was an awesome feeling.
More power to my health!
2. Cycle 55 miles from London to Brighton. 🚲
I picked up a nice new road bike in the first lockdown, got out and about and clocked 100s of miles then, it slowed down but was still enthused. Got a turbo trainer and maintained some sort of discipline up and down Watopia.
On father’s day, whilst dedicating the challenge to my late father, I managed to raise over £3k for the British Heart Foundation
More power to my mind!
3. Drive an auto-rickshaw over 2000km, across 4 states in India, over 12 days. 🛺
To raise money to build a dental unit in Chitrakoot to support 500 local villages.
This was an incredible way to experience India in a unique way, make memories for a lifetime and raise over £3k for Sewa UK hashtag#rickshawrun2023
More power to my spirit!
The medals are just memoirs, tokens, talismans, historical marks of a small set of wins for me. 🏅
Feeling blessed 🙏🏽
