The Solution Architecture department at Rackspace runs a #NerdandLearn session once a month, for those wishing to showcase and share passions, hobbies and crafts that typically fall outside the typical working day.
I very recently delivered a session called Speech Build Fundamentals & Architecture, the service blocks of Public Speaking!
I was able to take my peers, colleagues and managers through a journey of understanding, learning the best architecture when designing a presentation. We also discussed congruency, where both verbal and non-verbal communications come together to bring your whole original self on stage. We also learnt what elements make an effective speech and had a good laugh during a confidence-boosting impromptu speaking session!
