I’ve read about much today about World Mental Health Day and all the tips and tricks and mechanisms and how to identify and understand, and what to do and how to be. I mean it’s a big space!
I felt compelled to share and fought off some imposter syndrome along the way, but basically:
1- Take some time out, change the scenery, motion creates emotion, keep moving, go for a walk, take deep breaths, do something else man.
2- Talk, out loud, to people, friends, family, colleagues, professionals, me. They say getting it off your chest, a problem shared is a problem halved and all that and yes, I get it, sure, okay, perhaps.
You see, my things is about words, and so when you speak something out loud, you connect dots in your mind on the idea at hand. So by speaking, you are still formulating your ideas on the topic, you actually begin to understand your topic better, or in a different paradigm of experience, through an oratory capacity.
Speak it out, process it.
Tell the story, you’ll feel better for it.
3- Try to become the observer in your situations, not everything need take your energy and attention. Stay as cool as a cucumber!
